Three Greyhounds Ranked in NCAA Field Hockey Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III field hockey statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel HS) is tied for seventh in the nation with 13 defensive saves this fall. Pezzello has helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.64 goals against average this season with five shutouts.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb (Blackwood, N.J./Paul VI HS) is 42nd with a 1.57 goals against average. Gottlieb is 8-8 with three shutouts this fall while making 106 saves in 1,067 minutes of action.

Sophomore midfielder Catherine Duffin (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown HS) is tied for 45th in Division III with 0.56 assists per game. This year, Duffin leads Moravian in points (24), goals (8) and assists (8) to go with her two game-winning goals.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for 11th in defensive saves (19), tenth in save percentage (0.828), tied for 27th in shutouts per game (0.29), tied for 47th in assists per game (1.88) and 43rd in goals against average (1.64).

Moravian has concluded its 2012 season with an 8-9 record.
