Three Field Hockey Players are Ranked in NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III field hockey statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is ranked fifth in the nation with 12 defensive saves this fall. Pezzello has helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.73 goals against average this season.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb is 15th in the country with a 0.814 save percentage and 47th with a 1.66 goals against average. Gottlieb is 7-7 with two shutouts this fall while making 96 saves in 927 minutes of action.

Sophomore midfielder Catherine Duffin is tied for 47th in Division III with 0.57 assists per game. This year, Duffin leads Moravian in points (21), goals (7) and assists (7) to go with her two game-winning goals.

As a team, the Greyhounds are tied for eighth in defensive saves (18), tenth in save percentage (0.827), tied for 36th in shutouts per game (0.27), tied for 39th in assists per game (1.93), 47th in penalty corners per game (10.6) and 48th in goals against average (1.73).

Moravian returns to play on Thursday, October 25th as they travel to Cedar Crest College. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
