BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey squad will be hosting its Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Match on Saturday, October 20th versus Goucher College at Rocco Calvo Field beginning at 1:00 p.m.
The match is Moravian's final home match for the 2012 season, and seniors Catherine Gottlieb, Stephanie Pezzello, Tori Poliskiewicz and Briana Van Buskirk will be honored before the match. The team will be accepting donations for Moco for Coco.
Moco for Coco works with The Coco Foundation to provide support for all those affected by pediatric cancer. In November 2009, then three-month-old Coco Lazaridis was diagnosed with juvenile leukemia. After intensive chemotherapy treatments and a successful blood transplant, she has been in remission for over two years. The Coco Foundation was founded in Coco's honor by her family and friends.
