Women Turn in 3 ECAC Marks at Fast Times Before Finals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field team posted three ECAC qualifying marks during Day 2 of the Fast Times Before Finals meet at Lehigh University on Saturday.

The Greyhounds finished sixth of the eight teams competing in the meet with 4.5 points. The University of Pennsylvania took first place with a team score of 56.5 points.

Sophomore Christelle Reglas had Moravian's top finish with a runner-up showing in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 5.30 meters (17 feet, 4 ¾ inches). Freshman Lauren Suelke was tied for third in the event at 5.06 meters (16 feet, 7 ¼ inches), and Suelke also placed sixth in the triple jump at 10.80 meters (35 feet, 5 ¼ inches).

Junior Morgan Redmond was eighth in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 9.40 seconds while junior Brianna Wright took 10th in the 60-meter dash preliminaries with an ECAC qualifying time of 8.08 seconds.

The Greyhounds 4x400-meter relay team of Redmond, senior Jennifer Smilgis, junior Brielle Sutter and sophomore Corinne Glass placed sixth in a time of 4:15.22.

Freshman Kiara Bright finished ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.47 meters (34 feet, 4 ¼ inches) in her first collegiate meet.

The Greyhounds are now off until next semester when Moravian is set to compete at the Muhlenberg College Invitational on Friday, January 24.
