Fineman Wins Pole Vault at Collegeville Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- Junior Dana Fineman captued the pole vault at the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College as the Moravian College women's indoor track & field team competed for the first time this semester.

Fineman won the pole vault by clearing a height of 3.05 meters (10 feet) while freshman Casey Raymond took seventh by clearing 2.60 meters (eight feet, 6 1/4 inches).

Junior Giana Vecchio was tenth in the triple jump with a leap of 9.26 meters (30 feet, 4 3/4 inches), and she also placed 10th in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.83 seconds. Freshman Rebecca Flitcroft paced a total of three Greyhounds in the hurdles with a sixth place finish in 10.38 seconds while sophomore Meghan Newman was seveth in 10.48 seconds.

Friday evening was the first competition for the Greyhounds since December 7, and just half of the team competed. The rest of Moravian's squad is set to return to action on Saturday, January 25 at the Princeton University Tiger Open beginning at 10:00 a.m.
