Runners Lead Women at Greyhound Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College's runners lead the squad at the non-scoring Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field Saturday.

Junior Brielle Sutter was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 25.75 seconds while sophomore Corinne Glass finished fourth with an ECAC qualifying mark of 25.92 seconds. Sutter was also tied for seventh in the 100-meter dash in 12.79 seconds while Glass took seventh in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.28.

Junior Brianna Wright turned in an ECAC qualifying time of 12.54 seconds to finish fourth in the 100-meter dash, and she also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in 26.51 seconds. Junior Morgan Redmond was tenth in the 400-meter hurdles with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:06.09 while junior Emily Lambright placed ninth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:53.11.

In the field events, freshman Kiara Bright placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.90 meters (35 feet, 9.25 inches) while freshman Lauren Suelke was eighth at 10.59 meters (34 feet, nine inches). Sophomore Christelle Reglas finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.19 meters (17 feet, 0.5 inches) while freshman Casey Raymond was eighth at 5.10 meters (16 feet, 8.75 inches).

Junior Dana Fineman was tied for eighth in the pole vault at 3.20 meters (10 feet, six inches) while senior Amanda Smilgis and junior Hailey Kesterwere both tied for 10th at 3.05 meters (10 feet).

In the throwing events Saturday, freshman Jackie Finnegan was sixth in the discus with a toss of 36 meters (118 feet, one inch) while junior Jenny Kratch finished 10th at 33.21 meters (108 feet, 11 inches). Sophomore Karlee Corvasce was sixth in the javelin with a toss of 33.78 meters (110 feet, 10 inches).

Several of the Greyhounds will compete at the Penn Relays Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26 after the fields are announced on Monday for the college events. The rest of the squad is slated to return to action at the Lehigh Games on Saturday, April 26.
