Reglas Selected as Landmark Field Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore jumper Christelle Reglas has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Reglas helped the Greyhounds at the 2013-14 season opening meet, the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals. Reglas was second in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying mark of 5.30 meters (17 feet, 4 ¾ inches), a distance that puts her third on the TFRRS list for the NCAA Championships. On the track, Reglas tied for 22nd in the 60-meter dash in 8.32 seconds, and she was 24th in the 200-meter dash in 28.28 seconds.

"Christelle had a great first meet both on the track and in the jumps," stated Head Coach Jesse Baumann. "Usually our goal is to be at where we finished last outdoor season by the middle of the current indoor season, and she wound up setting a new PR by a few inches already in her first meet of the season, and qualifying for ECACs. She was consistently in the 5-meter range, so we were really happy with how the meet went for her, and where she's starting off her season."

The Greyhounds do not return to action until next semester when the squad heads to the Muhlenberg College Invitational on Friday, January 24.
