Kratch's Career Toss Leads Opening Day of Greyhound Invite

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Junior Jenny Kratch had a career best toss of 46.62 meters (152 feet, 11 inches) in the hammer throw to lead the Moravian College women's track & field team on the opening day of the 2014 Greyhound Invitational Friday at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field.

Kratch was fifth in the hammer with her ECAC qualifying toss coming on her second of three attempts in the finals. The distance is also the fourth-best toss in school history. Freshman Jackie Finnegan was 14th in the hammer at 36.06 meters (118 feet, four inches) while sophomore Tyler Clore placed 17th at 33.43 meters (109 feet, eight inches).

In the other women's event Friday, Kratch placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 11.47 meters (37 feet, 7.75 inches), just 0.13 meters shy of the ECAC qualifying mark. Junior Brianna Wright was 14th in the shot put at 9.49 meters (31 feet, 1.75 meters) while Finnegan placed 17th at 8.73 meters (23 feet, 7.75 meters) and sophomore Christelle Reglas finished 19th at 6.95 meters (22 feet, 9.75 meters).

The second day of the Greyhound Invitational begins on Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m.
