Hounds Start the 2019 Schedule on the Road on August 30

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team is set to start the 2019 season on the road with a pair of matches on the opening weekend of the year.

The Greyhounds start their slate at Penn State-Harrisburg on Friday, August 30 with a noon kickoff, and the Blue and Grey will play the next day at Lancaster Bible College. Moravian opens its home schedule on Wednesday, September 4 by hosting Centenary (N.J.) University on John Makuvek Field at 4:00 p.m., and the Hounds host Wilkes University on Saturday, September 7.

The squad is slated to travel to Montclair State University on Wednesday, September 11 for the first of four matches under the lights this season. The Greyhounds will kick off a Family Day tripleheader on Makuvek Field at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 when the squad hosts Ramapo College of New Jersey. The Hounds have two more road trips to Bryn Athyn College on Wednesday, September 18 under the lights and Immaculata University on Saturday, September 21 with a rare 11:00 a.m. start time before beginning the 2019 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 28 versus Juniata College.

Moravian will begin October at home when the squad hosts Lycoming College in a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 1. The Hounds are slated to play four of their five Landmark Conference matches during the month on the road with trips to Susquehanna University on Saturday, October 5, The University of Scranton on Saturday, October 12, Elizabethtown College on Wednesday, October 23 and The Catholic University of America on Saturday, October 26. The Greyhounds will host Drew University in a Landmark Conference match on Saturday, October 19 with the Homecoming match beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The Blue and Grey have two other home matches in October as the squad hosts rival Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, October 9 with a 7:00 p.m. start on Makuvek Field before finishing the month by welcoming DeSales University on Wednesday, October 30 for a 3:30 p.m. start. The Greyhounds are slated to finish off the 2019 regular season on Saturday, November 2 when Goucher College comes to Bethlehem for a Landmark Conference contest.

Moravian looks to qualify for the 2018 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Tuesday, November 5 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seeds' home field.
