KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian College sophomore midfielder Anthony Nagy has been selected to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Division III Men's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.
Nagy is the 12th Greyhound to earn United Soccer Coaches (formerly the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, and he is also one of seven student-athletes from the Landmark Conference to be named to the All-Region Teams this fall.
Nagy helped the Greyhounds to a 11-7-1 overall mark in 2019 and the program's second straight trip to the Landmark Conference Semifinals.
Nagy, who was named to the 2019 Landmark All-Conference First Team, led the Greyhounds in scoring this season with 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. He posted six game-winning goals this fall and was 5-for-6 on penalty kicks. Nagy, who was also the 2018 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and honored on the All-Conference Second Team a year ago, has 13 goals and four assists for 30 points in 37 career matches including 35 starts.
"Congratulations to Anthony Nagy for being named to the All-Region 2nd Team," commented second-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "This is quite an honor. He had an excellent season and was a consistent scorer throughout the year. He had 10 goals to lead the team and his six game-winning goals led the conference. Anthony has accomplished a lot in his two years at Moravian and we look forward to what he will do in the future."
