Greyhounds Name Blakely & Bone as 2019 Men's Soccer Captains

Ethan Blakely and Michael Bone named as 2019 men's soccer captains.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer squad has named juniors Ethan Blakely and Michael Bone as captains for the 2019 season.

"Moravian College Men's Soccer is excited to announce juniors Ethan Blakeley and Mike Bone will captain the squad for the 2019 season," said second-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "Ethan and Mike both embody what it means to be a student-athlete. They are excellent students and key pieces to what we are trying to accomplish on the field. They are excellent representatives of Moravian College and the men's soccer program. Ethan and Mike both played major roles in helping us qualify for the Landmark Conference playoffs in 2018. We look forward to the leading our team this season."

Blakely, a forward, is in his third season as a starter for Moravian. He has four goals and two assists in 34 career matches over the past two falls.

Bone is returning for his second year as the Hounds' starting goalie. Last season, Bone posted a 1.71 goals-against average and 74 saves in 1,470 minutes of action, and he has 75 career stops over 18 matches.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to start the 2019 campaign on Friday, August 30 with a non-conference match at Penn State-Harrisburg beginning at 12:00 p.m.
