Anthony Nagy and Michael Bone honored as Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore midfielder Anthony Nagy and junior goalie Michael Bone have been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week for their performance in the opening weekend of the 2019 season.

"Congratulations to Anthony Nagy and Mike Bone for being named Landmark Conference Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week," stated Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "Anthony and Mike are a big part of our program and were significant in both wins this weekend. It was good to see them pick up where they left off last season. Thanks to the Landmark Conference for recognizing their efforts."

Nagy converted a pair of penalty kicks into two game-winning goals to help the Greyhounds begin the 2019 season at 2-0. In the season opener at Penn State-Harrisburg, Nagy drew and then converted on a penalty kick into the lower right corner of the net in the 22nd minute of Moravian's 1-0 win. The next day, Nagy again drew a penalty kick early in the match and scored on a shot just under the crossbar in the middle of the net in the sixth minute for a 1-0 lead as the Greyhounds went on to defeat Lancaster Bible College, 2-0.

Bone posted a pair of clean sheets for the Greyhounds during the opening weekend. He had five saves in the victory at Penn State-Harrisburg on Friday, and Bone added another seven saves in the shutout of Lancaster Bible on Saturday to raise his career shutout total to three.

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Wednesday, September 4 when the squad hosts Centenary (N.J.) University beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
