BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College senior goalie Yamil Yunez made his first career start on Senior Night a memorable one, leading the Greyhounds' men's soccer squad to a 2-0 non-conference win over DeSales University on a rainy John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.

Yunez had three saves for his first win of the year, a victory that saw the Hounds improve to 10-6-1 on the season, the first double-digit win total for the program since the 2002 squad was 12-9-2.

After a scoreless first half, freshman midfielder Dave Steinbach scored his fourth goal of the season on a blast from outside the top of the 18-yard box into the right side of the net as he settled a headed ball from fifth-year senior Kenny Fellows in the 47th minute. Just over 10 minutes later, the Greyhounds doubled the advantage to 2-0 when junior midfielder Jorge Aguilar netted his first goal of the season and the second of his career as he finished off a pass from fifth-year senior defender Akinori Mollenthiel.

The Blue and Grey nearly had two other goals in the match with sophomore defender Chris Zamora hitting the crossbar in the 40th minute and his follow-up shot being stopped before it could fully cross the line, and Fellows being stopped on a penalty kick just 35 seconds after Aguilar scored.

Prior to the match, the Greyhounds honored Yunez and midfielder Jon Matthews for Senior Night.

Moravian, which has already qualified for the Landmark Conference Semifinals, is scheduled to close out the 2019 regular season on Saturday, November 2 when the squad hosts Goucher College in a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
