TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore libero Sam Love has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Love had 68 digs, eight assists, two kills and two service aces in Moravian's 1-2 week. She had 35 digs and five assists in a 3-2 loss at Elizabethtown College. Love added 11 digs in a 3-0 loss to Susquehanna University, and she finished the week with 22 digs and a pair of assists in a 3-1 victory over Arcadia University.
"Sam has truly taken command of the court, and her ability to anticipate and respond to a variety of attacks has been a key factor in our success this year." stated Head Coach Shelley Bauder!
Moravian is set to return to action on Saturday, October 12 in a non-conference match at Delaware Valley University starting at 1:00 p.m.
