BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team swept visiting Goucher College, 3-0, to close out the 2024 Landmark Conference regular season in Johnston Hall Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first set, and slowly pulled away for a 25-14 set victory
- The second set was close early with the Gophers pulling ahead 15-9. The Blue & Grey closed the gap before Goucher led 22-20. The Hounds finished the set with five straight points for a 25-22 set win and a 2-0 lead
- After an early 3-3 tie in the third set, Moravian pulled away to capture the set 25-14 to win the match
Inside the Numbers
- Senior opposite hitter Makenzie Krasley led the Greyhounds with nine kills and two digs while senior outside hitter Jenna Deegan posted eight kills and four digs
- Sophomore middle blocker Payton Reuber recorded five kills and three service aces while sophomore outside hitter Gabbie Reigner added four kills, four service aces and seven digs
- Freshman middle blocker Kate McBrierty registered three kills and a pair of blocks while sophomore outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky had three kills and four digs
- Junior setter Ally Plitnick led the offense with 25 assists to go with seven digs, four kills and three service aces while sophomore libero Sam Love had 19 digs, three service aces and trio of service aces
- Sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Hughes contributed five digs
