BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior outside hitter Jenna Deegan, senior opposite hitter Makenzie Krasley, junior setter Ally Plitnick and sophomore middle blocker Payton Reuber have been selected to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team for NCAA Division III schools.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that has played in 90 percent of the team's contest or started 66 percent of the team's games in 2024. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, January 14.
The quartet helped the Greyhounds to a 17-13 mark this year.
Deegan, an early childhood special education major with a 3.76 GPA, started 26 of 29 matches this fall for Moravian, and she had 261 kills to go along with 186 digs, 38 blocks, 25 service aces and eight assists. In her career, Deegan saw action in 382 sets over 110 matches, and she recorded 843 kills, 363 digs, 149 blocks, 39 service and 29 assists. Deegan will be a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Krasley, a nursing major with a public health minor and a 3.62 GPA, started 22 of 30 contests this season for Hounds, and she had 173 kills to go along with 67 digs, 37 blocks, 23 service aces and six assists. In her career, Krasley played in 347 sets over 108 matches, and she registered 541 kills, 239 digs, 105 blocks, 35 service aces and 18 assists. Krasley will be a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Plitnick, an environmental science and public health dual major with a 4.00 grade-point average, started all 30 matches in 2024 while leading the Blue & Grey with 835 assists to go along with 315 digs, 46 kills, 30 service aces and 22 blocks. Plitnick has played in 214 sets over 70 matches in her three seasons, and she has posted 1,318 assists, 577 digs, 93 kills, 65 service aces and 42 blocks for the Greyhounds. She will be a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
Reuber, a speech language pathology major with a psychology minor and a 3.66 GPA, started all 30 contests this season for Greyhounds, and she contributed team highs 266 kills and 58 blocks to go along with 30 digs, eight assists and six service aces. In two seasons, Reuber has seen action in 195 sets over 54 matches, and she posted 421 kills, 133 blocks, 59 digs, 15 assists and nine service aces. Reuber will be named to the 2024 the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
