READING, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team swept host Penn State Berks as well as Cheyney University in a non-conference tri-match Saturday as the Greyhounds pushed their winning streak to seven contests.
How It Happened – Penn State Berks
- The first set went back-and-forth with the score tied at 16-16 before a 9-3 from the Hounds gave Moravian a 25-19 set victory
- The Greyhounds controlled the net two sets, earning 25-11 and 25-8 set wins to capture the match
- Sophomore middle blocker Payton Reuber led the Blue & Grey with eight kills and three blocks while senior outside hitter Jenna Deegan added seven kills, three digs, a pair of blocks and two service aces
- Sophomore outside hitter Gabbie Reigner recorded four kills and had three digs while sophomore outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky and freshman outside hitter Ella Kilko both contributed four kills
- Freshman middle blocker Kate McBrierty posted three kills, two blocks and a pair of service aces while senior opposite hitter Makenzie Krasley had a pair of kills
- Junior setter Ally Plitnick registered 20 assists, 12 digs, two blocks and a pair of service aces while sophomore defensive specialist Molly Hughes had ten assists, four service aces and five digs
- Sophomore defensive specialist Morgan Hughes recorded six digs and two service aces while sophomore libero Sam Love had eight digs
How It Happened – Cheyney
- Moravian dominated all three sets versus the Wolves, winning 25-8, 25-15 and 25-16
- Tempalsky paced the Blue & Grey with eight kills to go with nine digs and five service aces while Kilko registered six kills and two blocks
- Reuber added four kills and two blocks while junior outside hitter Caroline Melillo had four kills, four digs and five service aces
- McBrierty posted three kills and three service aces while Deegan had two kills and two blocks and Reigner had a pair of kills
- Molly Hughes recorded a team-high 14 assists to go with four digs and a pair of service aces while Plitnik had ten assists and two digs
- Freshman defensive specialist Madalyn Kocsis contributed seven digs while Morgan Hughes and freshman defensive specialist Emma Granger both had five digs
