SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Royals had an early 4-2 lead in the opening set before the Hounds fought back to take an 11-10 lead. However, Scranton countered and took the opening set, 25-17
  • The Blue & Grey scored the first three points of the second set. The Royals answered and took a 7-6 edge. The game went back-and-forth with Scranton eventually posting a 25-20 set victory for the 2-0 advantage
  • Moravian held an 8-4 edge early in the fourth set; however, the Royals would rally and earn a 25-21 set win to capture the match

Inside the Numbers

  • Sophomore middle blocker Payton Reuber led the Greyhounds with eight kills, five digs and a pair of blocks while senior outside hitter Jenna Deegan recorded six kills, six digs and three blocks
  • Sophomore outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky registered five kills and three digs while senior opposite hitter Makenzie Krasley had four kills and three blocks and freshman middle blocker Kate McBrierty posted four kills and four digs
  • Junior setter Ally Plitnick contributed 24 assists, ten digs and two kills while sophomore libero Sam Love added 17 digs
  • Sophomore outside hitter Gabbie Reigner had four digs and two kills while sophomore defensive specialist Molly Hughes added four digs
