TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore middle blocker Payton Reuber have been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Reuber helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 week to close out the 2024 Landmark Conference season. She had 25 kills, five blocks, five service aces and five digs to go with a .279 hitting percentage. Reuber scored 24.5 points in Moravian's 3-1 win over The Catholic University of America with 30 kills, five blocks, five digs and two service aces while hitting .356. She added five kills and three service aces in a sweep of Goucher College.
"Payton has been an incredible asset in the middle this season," noted Head Coach Shelley Bauder. "Her knack for spotting gaps in the opponent's defense played a crucial role in securing our victory over Catholic University. With 20 kills and a hitting percentage over .350 in a four-set match, Payton's performance was truly outstanding – a clear reflection of her talent and influence on the court."
The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, November 6 when the squad hosts Neumann University for Senior Night in Johnston Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m.
