Fineman Wins Pole Vault Again; Women Earn 6 ECAC Marks

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team tuned up for the 2015 Landmark Conference Championships by competing at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Invitational Saturday in the same facility that will be used for the conference meet in two weeks.

Senior Dana Fineman won the pole vault at an ECAC qualifying height of 3.65 meters (11-11.75) while sophomore Meg Brockett finished second in the 3,000-meter run with a career-best and ECAC qualifying time of 10:34.76, the tenth-best time in school history.

Junior Christelle Reglas was second in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.28 meters (17-4) while sophomore Kiara Bright placed fourth in a triple jump with an ECAC qualifying distance and career-best indoors of 10.95 meters (35-11.25).

Senior Brianna Wright tied a career-best and tied the 10th-best time in school history with an ECAC qualifying time of 8.00 seconds to place fourth in the 60-meter dash. Wright also ran the leadoff leg on the Greyhounds' 4x200-meter relay team including seniors Morgan Redmond and Brielle Sutter and junior Corinne Glass that took second with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:47.24.

Redmond took fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.57 seconds, and she was 13th 400-meter dash in 1:02.90. Sutter placed 11th in the 200-meter dash in 27.00 seconds.

Senior Devon Bedell was seventh in the 5,000-meter run in 19:37.49 while senior Claire Del Casale was 11th in the race in 20:16.87. Senior Emily Lambright was 15th in the mile with a time of 5:28.46.

In the other field events, sophomore Jackie Finnegan was 13th in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 13.11 meters (43-0.25). Freshman Melissa Cheong finished in a tie for sixth in the high jump at 1.57 meters (5-1.75) while freshman Casie Cronk took ninth in the event at 1.52 meters (4-11.75).

The Greyhounds will compete in a pair of meets next weekend in their final tune-up for the Landmark Conference meet with trips to the Kutztown University Last Chance Meet on Saturday, February 21 and the Princeton University Invitational on Sunday, February 22.
