Track & Field Teams Hosting Purple Out on April 18

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men' and women's track & field teams will be hosting a Purple Out to raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, April 18 at the Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field. The action begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

All of the Greyhounds will be wearing purple t-shirts and socks when they aren't competing on Saturday, and the program will also be selling the t-shirts for $25 and the socks for $10 at the meet. All of the donations will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Moravian will also be handing our purple ribbons to all competing student-athletes with over 1,000 entered into the meet.

The Greyhounds selected the Purple Out after freshman sprinter Kaitlyn McDonnell lost her mother to pancreatic cancer last fall.
