CANTON, N.Y. --- The Moravian College track & field men's squad had Junior Gavin Bailey compete on the opening day of action Thursday at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships being hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Bailey participated in the long jump. He was the opening competitor in the first flight of the meet, and Bailey started things off with a mark of 6.33 meters (20-9.25). He posted a leap of 6.41 meters (21-0.5) in his second jump before his best attempt of the day 6.90 meters (22-7.75) on the final jump of the preliminary flight. Bailey was ninth in his flight and finished 16th on the 20 student-athletes in the event.

Moravian will conclude its season on the final day of action at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, May 23 as freshman javelin thrower Kyle Allison competes at 11:30 a.m.
