Track & Field Teams Ranked Regionally by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The Moravian College men's & women's track & field teams are both ranked in the Mideast Region in the third NCAA Division III Regional Team Index of the 2015 outdoor season released by the U. S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Tuesday. The Greyhound women are third in the region again this week while the men moved up a spot to fifth in the rankings.

The Greyhound women, who were fifth in the first poll of the year before moving up to third last week, have a total of 251.80 points. Misericordia University is currently first in the Mideast Region with 254.08 points while Salisbury University is second at 252.67 points.

The Greyhound men have a total of 169.96 points, moving up one spot from sixth last week. Moravian was 14th in the first poll of the outdoor season. Salisbury leads the Mideast Region with 377.52 points while Widener University is second at 257.08 points. Messiah College holds down the third spot with 196.09 points while Carnegie Mellon University is fourth at 182.98 points.

Moravian will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18 when the squad hosts the Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field with action beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
