Men Post Four ECAC Marks at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's track & field team posted four ECAC qualifying marks and had one event winner at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational Saturday at Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown.

The field events were the highlight for the Greyhounds with junior Ryan Karnopp winning the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying height of 4.50 meters (14-9). Freshman Kyle Allison also had an ECAC qualifying toss in the javelin as he finished third at 59.93 meters (196-7) while senior Parker Munson was the runner-up in the discus with an ECAC qualifying mark of 45.92 meters (150-8), the second best mark in school history behind Munson's school record toss last week. Sophomore Kahron Walker also posted an ECAC qualifying mark as he finished third in the high jump at 1.93 meters (6-4).

Freshman Robert Condo was sixth in the javelin at 49.76 meters (163-3) while sophomore Michael Guarino took tenth with a toss of 42.16 meters (138-4). Munson was also fourth in the shot put with a toss of 13.89 meters (45-7) while sophomore Greg Cahill was seventh at 13.05 meters (42-9.75) and sophomore Ljuboslav Boskic finished ninth with a toss of 12.80 meters (42-0).

Cahill also placed fifth in the discus with a mark of 41.49 meters (136-1) while senior Jeffrey Gallagher was ninth at 40.22 meters (131-11). In the hammer throw competed on Thursday at DeSales University, Gallagher was the runner-up at 44.20 meters (145-0) while sophomore Matt Jones took fourth with a toss of 41.63 meters (136-7).

Senior Chris Ossont was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.28 meters (20-7.25), and he finished seventh in the triple jump at 12.70 meters (41-8). Sophomore Kyle Hagerty placed seventh in the long jump at 6.15 meters (20-2.25) while Walker took ninth in the triple jump at 12.28 meters (40-3.5).

On the track, junior Gavin Bailey finished second in the 100-meter dash in 11.10 seconds, and he was also fourth in the 200-meter dash in 23.22 seconds. Junior Tyler Dwyer placed ninth in the 400-meter dash in 52.10 seconds while freshman Esco Blaylock took tenth in 52.73 seconds. Senior Travis Dorsa was eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.64 seconds while Dwyer took tenth in 23.75 seconds.

Junior Ryan Sickler was seventh in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.36 seconds, and he was tenth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.45. Freshman Austin Stetler was tenth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:03.83.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11 when the Greyhounds host the Annual Coach P Open at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track. The action on Friday begins at 4:00 p.m. while Saturday begins at 10:00 a.m.
