Men Post 3 ECAC Marks at Susquehanna Invitational

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's indoor track & field team turned in three ECAC marks at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Saturday at the facility that will host the Landmark Conference championships in two weeks.

Sophomore Cory Taggert ran a career-best and ECAC qualifying time to finish second in the 800-meter run with the sixth-best time in school history 1:55.32. Senior Alec Duncan was fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a career-best time of 8:57.67, the fifth-best mark in school history.

Sophomore Kahron Walker took fifth in the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 13.59 meters (44-7), and he was ninth in the long jump with a leap of 6.41 meters (21-0.50). Junior Ryan Karnopp finished third in the pole vault with an ECAC qualifying mark of 4.55 meters (14-11).

Moravian's 4x200-meter relay squad of junior Gavin Bailey, junior Tyler Dwyer, senior Travis Dorsa and sophomore Austin Gardener was eighth in a time of 1:35.54. Senior Dillon Farrell was fifth in the 5,000-meter run in 16:07.21. Freshman Robert Cahill was 18th in mile and won his heat with a time of 4:36.92 while freshman Mike Kopach was ninth in the 800-meter run in 1:59.32.

In other field events, sophomore Greg Cahill was sixth in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 14.09 meters (46-2.75) while freshman Jack Lippin placed eighth at 13.87 meters (45-6.25). Lippin also finished 11th in the shot put with a toss of 13.62 meters (44-8.25) while senior Chris Ossont was seventh in the triple jump at 13.47 meters (44-2.5).

The Greyhounds will compete in a pair of meets next weekend in their final tune-up for the Landmark Conference meet with trips to the Kutztown University Last Chance Meet on Saturday, February 21 and the Princeton University Invitational on Sunday, February 22.
