TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's track & field team has been picked to win the 2015 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship in a preseason poll of the conference head coaches.

The Greyhounds, fresh off of their sixth straight Landmark indoor title and their seventh overall indoor championship, received four first-place votes and a total of 54 points. Susquehanna University, the host for the 2015 Landmark Outdoor meet on May 2-3, snapped Moravian's string of six consecutive Landmark Outdoor titles last year, and the Crusaders picked up the other three first-place votes and a total of 51 points. Conference newcomer Elizabethtown College is in third in the poll with 34 points.

Moravian has 22 letterwinners returning to the squad for the outdoor season including 15 that have earned All-Landmark honors at some point in their careers for winning a conference title or finishing as the runner-up. Leading the returnees will be sophomore jumper Kahron Walker, who was the 2015 Landmark Indoor Field Athlete of the Year and the 2014 Landmark Outdoor Rookie of the Year, and junior pole vaulter Ryan Karnopp, who has made three trips to the NCAA Division III National Championships in the last two years including earning All-America honors indoors in 2014.

"The indoor meet was a very close meet, and we all know the outdoor one will be as well," commented Head Coach Jesse Baumann. "It's nice to be voted first by our peers, and that's certainly the goal for the coaches and athletes. However, we're not complacent, we know we need to work extremely hard if we want to excel not only at Landmarks, but some of the other meets we're aiming for, most notably ECACs and hopefully NCAAs."

The Greyhounds will begin their 2015 outdoor season on Saturday, March 28 when they head to Easton, Pennsylvania to compete in the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet at 11:00 a.m.
