Fineman Places 14th at NCAA Indoor National Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- Moravian College senior Dana Fineman finished 14th in the pole vault at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Roanoke College and JDL Fast Track on Friday.

Fineman, who was making her first trip to the NCAA Championships, cleared the opening height of 3.40 meters (11-1.75) on her first attempt of the meet. She then needed all three attempts to clear the next bar at 3.55 meters (11-7.75). Fineman had three solid attempts at 3.70 meters (12-1.5) but clipped the bar each time. She was one of five competitors knocked out of the competition at that height.

Fineman had qualified for the NCAA meet with a career-best 3.71 meters (12-2) at last week's ECAC Division III Indoor Championships.

Moravian's indoor season is now complete, and the Greyhounds are slated to start the outdoor season on Saturday, March 28 at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet in Easton.
