Nine Greyhounds Named 2021 Easton/NFCA Division III All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Nine members of the 2021 Moravian University softball squad have been named as 2021 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes for last season.

Over 8,800 student-athletes in all of the NFCAs membership categories were selected as All-America Scholar-Athletes with NCAA Division III leading the way with 2,375 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2020-21. Moravian also received the team honor with a 3.45 GPA as a squad.

Individual honors are submitted by member head coaches and recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. The full list is available at https://nfca.org/divnews/general/easton-nfca-all-america-scholar-athlete-team-gpa-2021.

Moravian's honorees were shortstop Alexis Agrapides, pitcher Meghan Bauer, third baseman Maddisen Bieber, second baseman Shannon Brogan, outfielder Nicole Cassano, designated player Emily Silberman, outfielder Victoria Smith, catcher Chloe Tice and catcher Brooke Wehr.

The group helped the Greyhounds to a 31-3 record in 2021, the best winning percentage in school history (91.2%) and the fewest losses in a season, and the squad also won its ninth Landmark Conference Championship last spring while playing in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 18th time.
