BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University softball squad is set to begin its 2022 season on Sunday, February 27 with two games in the PFX Spring Games in Clermont, Florida.
The Greyhounds are slated to take on Elizabethtown College at 11:45 a.m. and Finlandia (Mich.) University at 2:00 p.m. on the first day of the Hounds' 10-game Spring Break trip. The Blue and Grey will face Cabrini University and Wartburg (Iowa) College on Monday, February 28 before an off day. Moravian returns to action to face Neumann University and Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday, March 2, Concordia Moorhead (Minn.) College and Adrian (Mich.) College on Thursday, March 3 and The University of Mount Union and Cornell (Iowa) College on Friday, March 4 to close out the trip.
When Moravian returns to Bethlehem, the Greyhounds are scheduled to play 10 of their 15 doubleheaders at Blue & Grey Field beginning with a non-conference twinbill with Ursinus College on Thursday, March 17. The Hounds start the 2022 Landmark Conference season at Juniata College on Saturday, March 19 before travelling to Lebanon Valley College for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 22. Moravian finishes March with three straight home doubleheaders as the squad faces The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action on Saturday, March 26 and then DeSales University on Tuesday, March 29 and New Jersey City University on Thursday, March 31 in non-conference action.
The Greyhounds will continue the homestand into April with non-conference twinbills with Haverford College on Saturday, April 2 and Delaware Valley University on Tuesday, April 5. The Blue and Grey are set to travel to The Catholic University of America for a Landmark Conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 9 before returning to Blue & Grey Field to host Gwynedd Mercy University in non-conference action on Thursday, April 14. Moravian plays its final two road doubleheaders of the regular season on Saturday, April 16 at Landmark Conference foe Drew University and at Keystone College on Tuesday, April 19 in non-conference action. The Hounds finish out the regular season with three straight home doubleheaders, welcoming rival Muhlenberg College in non-conference action on Thursday, April 21 before Landmark Conference twinbills with Susquehanna University on Saturday, April 23 and Elizabethtown College on April 30.
The 2022 Landmark Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 6 at the site of the top seed, and the conference champion of the double-elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the 2022 NCAA Division III Tournament.
