TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore forward Alexis Wright (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin HS) of the Moravian College women's basketball team was named the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Wright helped the Greyhounds to a 3-0 record last week after averaging a double-double. She averaged 21 points and 12.3 rebounds while adding four steals, three blocks, three assists and shooting .568 (25-for-44) last week.
Wright, who was Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year last winter, scored a career best 23 points to go with 14 rebounds while defeating Lycoming College, 71-60, on Sunday afternoon.
Moravian returns to action on Tuesday, November 20th as they host DeSales University. The contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Johnston Hall.
