Greyhounds Host 2nd Annual Pink Zone Clinic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team hosted nearly 70 girls from 2nd grade to 8th grade at its 2nd Annual Pink Zone Clinic in Johnston Hall Wednesday evening as part of its Play 4Kay week.

Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, Assistant Coaches Amy Endler and Sara Steinman and the entire Greyhound squad split the girls into groups and went over proper techniques for shooting, passing, defense, dribbling and shooting during the 90 minute clinic. The evening ended with a game.

For the last three years, Moravian has been the top NCAA Division III team in the Kay Yow Cancer Fund's Play 4Kay including raising $12,025 last year. Wednesday's clinic raised $525 towards Moravian's total for 2013.

Moravian's Play 4Kay Week ends with the Greyhounds hosting Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference game in Johnston Hall on Saturday, February 9th at 2:00 p.m. For the sixth straight year, Moravian will be wearing pink jerseys for the contest.
