Wright Named to ECAC DIII South All-Star First Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Sophomore forward Alexis Wright (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin HS) of the Moravian College women's basketball team has been named to the 2013 ECAC Division III South All-Star First Team.

Wright, who has also earned Landmark All-Conference First Team and Pete Nevins Lehigh Valley Small College Women's Basketball Player of the Year honors this winter, led the Greyhounds with averages of 16.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this past winter, the latter a school record. Wright completed her sophomore season with 803 career points, and she is already 15th in school history with 551 career rebounds.

Wright, who was the ECAC South Player of the Week twice during the regular season, led Moravian with 66 blocked shots this season, and she added 55 steals and 42 assists. Wright made 40.8 percent (187 of 458) field goal attempts this winter.

The Greyhounds completed the 2012-13 season with a 22-7 record. Moravian reached the postseason for the 13th straight year with a spot in the Landmark Conference Tournament, and the Greyhounds also participated in the ECAC South Tournament for the 14th time, reaching the championship game for the second consecutive season.
