BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College will be hosting a Holiday Toy Drive on Saturday, December 8th during its women's basketball game versus The United States Merchant Marine Academy in Johnston Hall at 2:00 p.m.
Moravian will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Coco Foundation and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley. The donations will be taken to both the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Children's Hospital of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Since the toys will be going to children in hospitals, stuffed animals cannot be accepted as gifts.
The Coco Foundation to provide support for all those affected by pediatric cancer. In November 2009, then three-month-old Coco Lazaridis was diagnosed with juvenile leukemia. After intensive chemotherapy treatments and a successful blood transplant, she has been in remission for over two years. The Coco Foundation was founded in Coco's honor by her family and friends.
