MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ---The Moravian College women's basketball team moved to 25th in the nation after three weeks of receiving votes in the fourth regular season D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released Monday night.
The Greyhounds, who are off to the best start in school history at 9-0 and 2-0 in Landmark Conference action, received 70 points, 16 points higher than last week. Moravian is one of two teams from the Landmark Conference receiving national recognition with The Catholic University of America receiving 45 points.
The last time the Moravian program was ranked in the top 25 of the D3hoops.com poll was the final poll of the 2009-10 season when the Greyhounds were ranked 22nd. Moravian was ranked as high as eighth in the nation in 2009-10.
Moravian will return to action on Monday, December 31st in a non-conference game at Centenary (N.J.) College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
