Greyhounds Remain 3rd in NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team remained third of eight teams in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second regional rankings of the 2013 season released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 20-3 overall and 19-3 in-region, one of the main criteria in the rankings, are third behind Messiah College and FDU-Florham.  One of Moravian's three losses this season is to FDU-Florham while the Greyhounds other two losses are to Juniata College, which is ranked eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and The College of New Jersey, ranked eighth in the Atlantic Region.

Behind Moravian, which has already clinched its 12th straight postseason appearance with an 11-1 Landmark Conference record, in the regional poll are Swarthmore College, Widener University, The University of Scranton, Gettysburg College and Juniata.  The Greyhounds have victories over Juniata, Scranton and The Catholic University of America, which is ranked second in the Atlantic Region.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, February 13th when the Greyhounds travel to Scranton for a Landmark Conference game tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
