CENTREVILLE, Mass. – Sophomore forward Alexis Wright (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin HS) of the Moravian College women's basketball team has been named the ECAC Division III South Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Wright, who also garnered Landmark Conference Player of the Week accolades on Monday for the second consecutive week, helped the Greyhound defeated DeSales University, 69-57, after having a career night. She posted the first 20-20 game in school history off of 28 points and 20 rebounds. She also collected three steals and two blocks in the victory.
This season, Wright leads Moravian with an average of 21.8 points and 14.0 rebounds per game to go with her eight steals and seven blocked shots.
The Greyhounds, who are 5-0 on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, December 1st when they open their 2012-13 Landmark Conference season versus Juniata College with a 2:00 p.m. tipoff in Johnston Hall.
