Volleyball Falls in Semifinals to #10 Juniata

The Moravian College volleyball team fell to nationally-ranked No. 10 Juniata College in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Tournament. The Greyhounds fell in three sets 25-13, 25-6 and 25-16.

Moravian was led by junior libero Jesse Krasley, who tallied 17 digs and added three assists on the day. Classmate right side hitter Samantha Savite had five kills and three blocks while freshman outside hitter Taylor Jennings totaled five kills, and four digs. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown had 12 assists, ten digs and one kill.

Senior outside hitter Katie Moquete contributed two kills and three blocks in the match while senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt had one service ace and seven digs.

The Eagles were led by senior middle hitter Amanda Schmidt, who had 14 kills. Sophomore setter Courtney Greenberg totaled 30 assists and 13 digs while senior libero Libby Morrison tallied 18 digs, three aces and three assists.

The Greyhounds are now 22-12 overall this season, and will find out on Monday if they qualify for the ECAC South Tournament. Moravian has played in the ECAC Tournament five times in the last ten years.
