Brown & Krasley Reach Milestones in Win Over Lycoming

The Moravian College women's volleyball team defeated Lycoming College Saturday afternoon at Johnston Hall, 3-0. Junior outside hitter Samantha Savite led the way with 13 kills.

The Greyhounds won the first set 25-19. They started off the second set down 6-1, but rallied back to win 25-22. They lost the third set 21-25, and then won in the fourth 25-19.

Senior middle blocker Katie Moquete, pictured, recorded eight kills, which gave her 1,058 for her career and moved her into seventh place all-time. She also had three blocks, and now has 136 career blocks, moving her into ninth all-time. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown tallied 35 assists in the contest, and she now has over 1,000 career assists at 1,025. Junior libero Jesse Krasley had 26 digs, moving her into second place all-time with 1,578. She needs only seven more digs this season to break her own record of 639 she set last season.

Junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey totaled eight kills and 11 digs while senior defensive specialist had 13 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara tallied eight kills, and freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo recorded seven kills and three aces. Freshman outside hitter Taylor Jennings tallied five kills, one ace and two digs.

The Warriors were led by junior outside hitter Jackie Oliva, who had ten kills. Sophomore setter Katelyn McKillop tallied 41 assists and two aces, and freshman defensive specialists Kristen Whitehead recorded 20 digs.
