Greyhounds Win "Dig Pink" Game Over DeSales

The Moravian College volleyball women's team defeated DeSales University, 3-0 Thursday night at Johnston Hall. Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara led the way with eight blocks, seven kills and three assists.

The Greyhounds won the first set 25-14. They were tied at seven in the second set, but went on an 18-7 run to win 25-17. They would win the final set 25-19.

Freshman outside Taylor Jennings led Moravian in kills with 12 to go with her nine digs and four blocks. Junior libero Jesse Krasley tallied 22 digs and five assists. Krasley needs only 23 more digs to move into second place for career digs, she currently has 1,552. She also went over 600 digs for the second straight season.

Sophomore setter Kelly Brown totaled 27 assists, 11 digs and two kills. Junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey had nine digs, seven kills, one ace and one assist while classmate outside hitter Samantha Savite tallied seven kills and two blocks.

Senior Katie Moquete totaled six kills, one ace, one assist and one dig while classmate Ashley Schmidt had seven digs, one ace and one assist on Senior Night.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore right side hitter Emilie Baker who had four kills, eight digs and one ace. Junior setter Justine McNulty tallied 12 assists while classmate libero Eden Reichard had 11 digs.

The Greyhounds will be hosting a tri-match this Saturday, October 22nd. They will take on Lycoming College at 12 p.m. and Marymount (VA) University at 4 p.m.
