Volleyball Finishes Greyhounds Premiere Invitational Undefeated

The Moravian College women's volleyball team posted its second come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over Cabrini College in the final match of championship bracket at the 9th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational Saturday in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds finished the tournament as the only 4-0 team.

Moravian trailed Cabrini 2-1 before winning the final two sets and taking the match 15-25, 25-13, 24-26, 25-22, 15-9. Junior right side Samantha Savite again led the Greyhounds with 18 kills to go with three blocks while senior middle blocker Katie Moquete contributed 14 kills. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, had a triple-double with ten kills, 46 assists and 12 digs while junior libero Jesse Krasley who also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, led the team with 17 digs to go with eight assists and two service aces.

Freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo had ten digs, eight kills and three service aces while junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey contributed seven kills and six digs. Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had six kills and four blocks for the Greyhounds while senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt added 11 digs. Freshman outside hitter Taylor Jennings had three kills and a pair of digs.
