The Moravian College women's volleyball team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 25-11, 25-22, 29-27 victory at rival Muhlenberg College Tuesday evening.
Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite led the Greyhounds with 12 kills to go with three digs while senior middle hitter Katie Moquete had seven kills and three digs. Junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey contributed five kills, eight digs and a pair of service aces while sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara with Savite, had four kills. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown added 28 assists, 18 digs, three kills and a pair of service aces while junior libero Jesse Krasley had a match high 29 digs to go with two service aces. Freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo had three kills and four digs while senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt had 12 digs.
Senior Brooke McQueen led Muhlenberg with ten kills and nine digs while senior Jackie Price had six kills and three blocks. Sophomore Morgan Dugan paced the Mules with 14 assists and 23 digs while freshman Holly Hynson added four kills and four digs. Freshman Alyssa Schell added 19 digs.
The Greyhounds return to action Friday, September 23rd when they travel to the Spartan Invitational hosted by York College of Pennsylvania.
