Moravian Win Second Match of Greyhound Premiere Invitational

The Moravian College women's volleyball team posted a 25-15, 25-12, 25-21 sweep of Ursinus College in the squad's second match on the opening round of the 9th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational to move into Saturday's championship bracket.

Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite paced the Greyhounds with a match high 14 kills and seven blocks while freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo added eight kills and eight digs. Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had six kills and six blocks against the Bears while senior middle blocker Katie Moquete added five kills. Junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey had five digs, four kills and a pair of service aces while sophomore setter Kelly Brown, pictured at right, contributed 30 assists, 11 digs and two service aces. Junior libero Jesse Krasley led Moravian with 18 digs and four service aces while senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt had seven digs.

Sophomore middle blocker Anahi McIntyre led Ursinus with nine kills while freshman setter Gina Powers had 14 assists. Junior middle blocker Kristin Hanratty contributed four kills, six digs, three blocks and four service aces for the Bears.
