Kelly Brown Named Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore setter Kelly Brown (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College women's volleyball team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Brown helped Moravian start the 2011 season by winning the championship bracket at the 9th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational as she was named to the All-Tournament Team. Brown, who moved from outside hitter to setter this season, played all 16 sets and had averages of 9.12 assists, 2.75 digs, 1.12 kills and 0.75 service aces per set. She contributed 146 assists, 44 digs, 18 kills, 12 service aces and two blocks to open the season. Brown had a triple-double with 46 assists, 12 digs and ten kills in a 3-2 win over Cabrini College.

Moravian, which is 4-0 overall, is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, September 7th in a non-conference match versus Lebanon Valley College beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
