Conference Foe Catholic Defeats Moravian, 3-1

The Moravian College volleyball team fell to conference rival The Catholic University of America Saturday afternoon, 3-1 (17-25, 17-25, 25-20, 24-26). Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite led the way with 19 kills and two blocks.

Senior middle blocker Katie Moquete tallied ten kills in the match, and junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey also had ten kills to go with her 13 digs. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown, pictured, totaled 44 assists in the game to go with 19 digs and four kills. Junior libero Jesse Krasley led the Greyhounds in digs with 27, she also had six assists.

Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had five blocks and six kills. Freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo tallied 11 digs, four kills and one block. Senior defensive specialists had 13 digs and freshman outside hitter Taylor Jennings had two kills and two digs.

For Catholic, sophomore right side hitter Bridget Kulesh tallied 13 kills. Senior setter Michaela Corrol had 36 assists and junior outside hitter Katie Chefalas totaled 17 digs.
