Greyhounds Come From Behind to Defeat Swarthmore, 3-2

The Moravian College women's volleyball team a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over Swarthmore College in the first match of championship bracket at the 9th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational Saturday in Johnston Hall.

The Greyhounds fell behind 2-0 to the Garnet before winning 22-25, 11-25, 25-12, 25-22, 16-14. Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite led Moravian with 16 kills while junior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey, pictured, had ten kills and seven digs. Freshman outside hitter Kellianne Comitalo contributed nine kills, five digs and four service aces while senior middle blocker Katie Moquete added eight kills, three digs and a pair of blocks.

Sophomore setter Kelly Brown led the Greyhounds with 39 assists, 19 digs and five service aces to go along with seven kills. Senior defensive specialist Ashley Schmidt had 17 digs while junior libero Jesse Krasley added 13 digs and seven assists. Sophomore middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had six kills in the victory over the Garnet.
