Junior Samantha Savite Named Landmark Conference Player of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central HS) of the Moravian College women's volleyball team was awarded the Landmark Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 26.

Last week, Savite helped the Greyhounds to a 3-2 record while having all-around strong performances. She had 63 kills last week and she reached double-digit kills in each match. She had a high of 16 kills in a four-set match against Swarthmore College, and Savite also had 10 blocks and 10 digs.

Savite leads Moravian with 169 kills in 17 matches this season. She also has 20 digs and 31 total blocks on the year. The Greyhounds are 11-6 on the season.

Moravian returns to action tomorrow, September 27 when they travel to Cabrini College for a non-conference game. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
