MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball squad has been picked fourth in the 2011 Landmark Conference season in a preseason poll selected by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.

Juniata College, the four-time defending Landmark Conference Champion, was selected first in the poll with 60 points while Susquehanna University with 45 points. The Catholic University of America earned 43 points for the third spot while the Greyhounds were selected fourth with 32 points. The University of Scranton had 22 points for fifth place while Goucher College was sixth with 19 points and The United States Merchant Marine Academy rounded out the poll with ten points.

Moravian has its sights set on a seventh straight trip to the postseason in 2011 with the return of four starters and seven letterwinners. The Greyhounds look to challenge for a berth into the Landmark Conference Tournament. 19-year Head coach Shelley Bauder looks for improvement over last year's 22-12 record that reached the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Tournament and the ECAC Division III South Quarterfinals. Junior right side hitter Samantha Savite (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central HS), pictured at right, leads the returners after earning a spot on the 2010 Landmark All-Conference First Team.

The Greyhounds begin their 2011 season when Moravian hosts the 9th Annual Greyhound Premiere Tournament in Johnston Hall and Breidegam Fieldhouse on September 2nd & 3rd. The Landmark Conference will play two round-round weekends during the season with the first scheduled for October 1st & 2nd.
