"I could not be more excited to bring this unique opportunity to our Landmark basketball student-athletes," exclaimed Landmark Commissioner Katie Boldvich. "Growing up in South Jersey, The Palestra has always held a special place for me, and I have fond memories of watching some great college and high school basketball there growing up. Having the opportunity to come full circle and provide this opportunity for others as part of my professional career is truly special. I am counting down the days until January 15!"

Known as the "Cathedral of College Basketball," The Palestra opened its doors in 1927, making it the oldest major college arena still in use today. It has hosted more games, more visiting teams, and more NCAA tournaments than any other facility of its kind. It is currently home to the Philadelphia Big 5, which consists of University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, Temple University, Saint Joseph's University, and LaSalle University.

"The opportunity to play at the Palestra, one of the most iconic venues in the entire country, as a basketball student-athlete is a once in a lifetime experience," said Moravian University head women's basketball coach, Mary Beth Spirk. "It is an exciting day for all of our conference schools, which includes coaches, alums, and supporters of every program. This agreement for the Landmark Conference is a tremendous accomplishment and will showcase all our schools in an amazing atmosphere."

The eight Landmark programs will have the opportunity to play in a memorable location that has seen great players like Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and Oscar Robertson, all of whom played as a member of visiting teams. Kobe Bryant and LeBron James also played while still in high school.

"The opportunity to showcase Landmark basketball and compete in one of the nation's most storied arenas is truly special, and we appreciate all the work done behind the scenes by our conference leadership to make this happen," said Juniata College head men's basketball coach, Greg Curley. "Our team is very excited to share the same floor that has been graced by so many great teams, players, and coaches. For anyone who loves basketball and has any understanding of the history of the sport, it doesn't get any better."
