Moravian Women’s Basketball Begins 2022-23 Campaign on November 9 Versus Albright

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's basketball team is slated to begin the 2022-23 season on Wednesday, November 9 with a non-conference game versus Albright College at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.

The contest starts a seven-game month of November for 36th-year Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk. The Hounds will travel to York College of Pennsylvania for a tournament on November 12-13 with a contest with Stevens Institute of Technology as well. The team heads to Dickinson College on November 16 before returning to Johnston Hall on November 19 to host The College of New Jersey. Moravian plays its annual game at DeSales University on November 22 before finishing the month on November 30 with a home contest with Immaculata University.

The Blue and Grey start December with the 2022-23 Landmark Conference opener versus The Catholic University of America on December 3 in Johnston Hall. The Hounds will host rival Muhlenberg College on December 7, and after finals, the team heads to Lebanon Valley College on December 17. Between the holidays, Moravian will host the annual Steel Club Classic on December 30-31 with the Greyhounds playing the City College of New York in the opening round and the University of St. Joseph (Conn.) on day two.

When the calendar rolls over to 2023, the Greyhounds have 13 Landmark Conference games on the schedule starting with a trip to Elizabethtown College on January 7. The Greyhounds will host Juniata College on January 13 before heading to the famed Palestra in Philadelphia to take on Drew University on January 15. The Hounds will return home to play Goucher College on January 18 before a trip to Susquehanna University on January 21. The Hounds will also travel to The University of Scranton on January 25, and the squad completes the month of January on the road at Catholic on January 28.

Moravian will have four home games in February beginning on February 1 as Drew comes to Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds will host Elizabethtown on February 4 before a trip to Goucher on February 8. The Blue and Grey make their final road trip of the year to Juniata on February 11 before finishing the regular season at home versus Scranton on February 15 and Susquehanna on February 18, which will be the annual Play4Kay game.

The Greyhounds look to qualify for the 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament that starts on Wednesday, February 22 with the semifinals, and the championship game is slated for Saturday, February 25 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
