MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian University graduate student forward Tessa Zamolyi has been selected to the 2023 D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-Region 5 Second Team for her performance this season.

Zamolyi, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team, the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization 2022-23 Team of the Year and part of a three-way tie for the 2022-23 Peter Nevins Player of the Year, topped the Hounds by contributing 15.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game this winter. She also had 45 assists, 38 steals, 20 blocked shots and 15 three-pointers while playing in all 26 games. Zamolyi, who played her first season with the Greyhounds after three years as an undergraduate at Misericordia University, posted 16 double-doubles this season, tied for the third most in a single season in program history.

Zamolyi makes the D3hoops.com All-Region for the second time in her collegiate career as she was honored in 2020 as a Third Team selection in the Atlantic Region while playing at Misericordia.

"Tessa's hard work and dedication to continually making herself and our team better helped her achieve All-Region honors," commented Head Women's Basketball Coach Mary Beth Spirk. "In just one season, she made an impact on our program. Tess was a joy to have on the team. This is a great honor for Tessa, and we are proud of her accomplishments all season. Congratulations on her selection to the All-Region squad!"

The Greyhounds posted a 15-11 overall record in 2022-23, and the Blue & Grey went 8-6 in Landmark Conference regular season to garner the fourth seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. It was the program's 31st postseason appearance in 36 seasons under Spirk's leadership.
